We seek a highly motivated and experienced Diamond Drilling Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee drilling operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality across our projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The location of this role could be anywhere in Ontario.
As a Supervisor, your key roles will be the following, along with any other duty assigned by your direct Superintendent:
- Supervise drilling activities, ensuring efficient and safe execution of tasks.
- Coordinate logistics, including equipment, supplies, and maintenance.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as meters drilled, core recovery, and safety records.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate drilling data and core samples.
- Conduct regular worksite inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including daily reports, inspection reports, and equipment logs.
- Move drills and prepare new and clean drill sites.
- Complete equipment inventories.
- Maintain open communication with the team, management, and other departments.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety within the drilling operations.
- Evaluate training requirements and create customized training plans. Keep precise records of all training activities, including individual progress, and submit reports as necessary.
- Deliver comprehensive training on drill operation, maintenance, safety procedures, ground control, core recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Provide hands-on training, demonstrations, and constructive feedback.
- Mentor and coach drillers and helpers, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Address personnel issues and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Demonstrate professionalism, positive work ethic, and commitment to safety, serving as a role model for others.
- Maintain effective communication with clients regarding project updates and address any concerns.
- Ensure client needs are met, and project specifications are adhered to.
- Valid Surface Diamond Drilling Common Core Certificate
- Valid Generic First Line Common Core Certificate for Supervisors.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in diamond drilling.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.

- Proficient computer skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license.
