POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position will be in an office/warehouse environment in Danville, KY learning the responsibilities of a Meter Technician. This position will provide a challenging learning opportunity, and a chance to learn from experienced energy industry professionals. Position will primarily assist in testing the performance of electric meters.

Responsibilities may include:

· Lifting meters (approx. 20 lbs.) off and onto testing racks.

· Following procedures to test the performance of electric meters using computer software.

· Prepare to take a certification for the Public Service Commission to become a certified Meter Technician.

· Perform other duties as assigned by management.

· Remain knowledgeable of and follow all safety rules, procedures, and practices.

HIRING CRITERIA:

- High School diploma or equivalent required.

- Preferred two-year electronics degree or related area.

- A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required.

- Ability to learn other and master other software programs.

- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to: lifting, walking, bending.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This position will require pre-employment background checks, and drug & alcohol testing. It is also subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

This position will work Monday-Friday (40 hours per week) with the possibility of occasional overtime. On-the-job training is provided.

Starting rate $22-25/hr. commensurate with education and experience. Complete benefit package available for full-time employees.
