NCT Technologies Group is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide full technical support, from receipt of a purchase order, through design and manufacture, with a high focus on product quality. They will have experience in engineering, manufacturing, project management, CAD and SolidWorks, all with a leadership mentality and an ability to work independently without much supervision. Our customers have high demands with respect to quality and very tight timelines; attention to detail, acting fast, and being flexible with solutions are required.
- Produce Job Packages for the production team, that include: customer drawings, quality inspection requirements, laser program, press brake program, finish and packaging requirements.
- Support the purchase and inventory management of all necessary material to produce product for customers.
- Update and manage the job log for the facility.
- Develop repeatable processes for new and current products that meet customer requirements, including:
- Design and implementation of weld and assembly fixtures
- Design and implementation of inspection and check fixtures
- Development of work instructions for critical processes
- Propose product design changes to support ease of manufacturing
- Ensure that processes adhere to quality standards
- PPAP all new customer products, including all inspection, testing and documentation
- Support the quality team when responding to customer quality rejects and creating corrective actions that will improve quality and prevent recurrence.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methods, error proofing tools and quality manufacturing processes
- Helping to eliminate waste and improve process efficiencies
Characteristics needed to succeed as a Manufacturing Engineer:
- 1-3 years of experience in engineering or technical role
- Strong initiative and follow through with the ability to be flexible and act fast
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- SolidWorks Experience a plus
- Critical thinking and problem-solving
- Ability to break down complex systems into simple components
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Technically savvy
- Mechanically Inclined
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to work with a team
- Experience with higher volume production a plus
