Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Wastewater Operator (with secondary drinking water experience) ready to step into an Account Management role overseeing client systems within our growing service area. This position is hands-on, combining technical field operations with client relationship management, team support, and inside sales to support our in-house Maintenance Department (quoting, scoping, and coordinating maintenance work orders).
- Perform daily operations, maintenance, sampling, and inspections for wastewater and drinking water systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts; ensure quality service, communication, and compliance.
- Qualify maintenance opportunities, develop scopes, prepare quotes/estimates, schedule work, and follow through to completion.
- Support and mentor operators and field staff within the region.
- Ensure all DEQ/EPA standards are met for reporting and compliance.
- Coordinate operational schedules, data tracking, and maintenance logs; maintain accurate CRM/quote records.
- Identify system improvements and communicate recommendations to leadership.
- Respond to operational issues and emergencies as needed.
- Idaho Wastewater Treatment License – Class III or higher (or transferable equivalent).
- Idaho Wastewater Collections License
- Experience with both wastewater and drinking water systems.
- Minimum 5 years of operational experience; lead or client-facing experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to balance field work with admin, sales, and customer care.
- Familiarity with quoting/estimating maintenance work (e.g., pump pulls, repairs, inspections) a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background check for federal contracts
