About This Job
Position Summary:
The Data Analyst is responsible for leading Morgan County REA’s data analytics efforts. This role supports key business systems and uses data to drive informed decision-making across departments. The Analyst ensures data accuracy, system performance, and actionable insights to support operations, engineering, customer service, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Develop and maintain data analysis tools, dashboards, and reporting processes.
•
Monitor and support AMI, MDMS, SCADA, and related operational systems.
•
Perform data validation, integration, and quality assurance across internal platforms.
•
Analyze utility data, including load, usage, outages, and line losses.
•
Collaborate with internal departments to provide data insights and recommendations.
•
Ensure data security and compliance with confidentiality standards.
•
Support system upgrades, training, and documentation.
•
Maintain high standards for safety, communication, and service.
Qualifications:
•
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil) or equivalent work experience (5+ years).
•
Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows-based software.
•
Knowledge: Familiarity with utility systems, RUS standards, basic electricity calculations, and data communication protocols.
•
Communication: Ability to convey complex data insights clearly and work effectively across teams.
•
Other: Valid Colorado Driver’s License. Subject to random drug/alcohol testing.
Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based with occasional field work. Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Moderate physical activity and high concentration required.
