Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Produces high quality printed material corporate-wide. Operates, maintains and troubleshoots a variety of equipment including high-speed digital press equipment and sheet-fed offset printing presses. Assists in other areas of the Print Shop.
- Must possess a working knowledge of high-quality print standards, techniques and technical skills to produce a variety of jobs on inkjet digital press equipment and sheet fed offset presses at a level normally acquired through two years of relate experience including experience working in a print shop environment; and
- High school diploma or GED
- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorship considered.
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
- May be required to submit to periodic background checks if position requires access to security sensitive business locations and/or systems.
- May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Completion of formal print media certificate or degree program from a post-secondary educational institution.
- Advanced technical knowledge and competency in the four-color process printing method used in the operation of an offset printing press.
- Experience and knowledge of offset press equipment repair and preventive maintenance.
- Operates a digital inkjet printing press and a variety of models of offset printing presses with or without attached envelope feeder. Works with print management software to optimize workflows and end-product.
- Performs final review of documents for proper layout and other customer specified expectations; and completes test run to identify issues prior to the production run.
- Produces high-quality printed materials including bill stuffers, reports, brochures, forms, posters, letterheads and envelopes using best methods.
- Performs daily preventive maintenance as needed on assigned equipment. Replaces parts, not requiring vendor service, to ensure a smooth and continuous workflow and proper operation of equipment.
- Performs all equipment and press setup for single and multicolor - process printing and makes necessary adjustments to assure the integrity of the final product.
- Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
