ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position is responsible for the blasting duties centered on ensuring parts to be coated are cleaned and prepped per customer specifications as contained within the work order. LoneStar Fasteners is looking for the right, qualified individual to join our team! We have 1 immediate need for a Blast Operator opening (full-time) for our facility in Spring, TX!
•Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
•Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
•Sand blasts parts following established methods and procedures to remove surface contaminants and imparts proper surface finish.
•Loads parts into sandblast equipment, maintains adequate supply of blast sand in hopper.
•Performs a variety of minor maintenance duties such as changing nozzles.
•Checks work visually, makes minor decisions; detects and reports defective items and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
•Perform other related duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE
•1-2 years of quality experience in a manufacturing or machining environment preferred.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
•High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); preferred
•Ability to pass a basic reading, math, measurement, parts matching and counting test
•Able to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications
•Ability to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or Performance
•Must be able to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekends
•Background in fasteners or similar industry preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•Must be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shift
•Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms up to weighing 25-150 lbs
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close, Distance, Peripheral, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus
•Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammer

•Manufacturing and warehouse environment with multi step process production runs on different machines.
