- The Lehigh County Coroner's OfficeForensic Center is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and professional facility environment. This position plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of a modern medicolegal death investigation office.
- The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, maintains high sanitation standards, and can work independently in a professional government setting.
- Perform routine cleaning of offices, hallways, restrooms, conference rooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces.
- Empty trash and replace liners.
- Restock restroom and hygiene supplies.
- Clean interior glass, doors, and fixtures.
- Assist with room setups for meetings and trainings.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleaning supply inventory.
- Follow all safety, PPE, and infection-control protocols.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and follow directions.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in a professional environment.
- Experience in healthcare, laboratory, or government facilities.
- Familiarity with infection-control environments.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push/pull cleaning equipment.
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
- This position works within a professional forensic facility. Candidates must be comfortable working in a medicolegal death investigation environment while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
- Part-Time: 15-20 hours per week.
- Shift hours: Flexible between 03:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M.
