Summary

The Maintenance Tech position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. They are responsible for conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical issues and hydraulic issues, and performing repairs to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. The Maintenance Technician works collaboratively with other team members to maintain a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions

1. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment and machinery according to established schedules.

2. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues with manufacturing equipment.

3. Perform repairs and adjustments to equipment to restore functionality and prevent breakdowns.

4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection records and equipment documentation.

5. Assist in installation, setup and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.

6. Assist outside vendors with on-site projects and repairs.

7. Replace light bulbs, fuses, filters, etc. as needed.

8. Install and repair high voltage circuits for production lines and facility.

9. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

2. 2-3 years industrial maintenance experience required.

3. Working knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulic and PLC’s.

4. Machining and welding experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Proficiency with in using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.

2. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

3. Ability to work overtime throughout the week and Saturdays if necessary.

4. Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge electrical and hydraulic systems.

5. Must be reliable and detail oriented.

6. Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately.

7. Must possess strong problem-solving skills and be a team player.

8. Must possess a commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and protocols.

Physical Demands

1. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended period of time.

2. Ability to lift/move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) with lifting equipment assistance.
