The Director of Sales – Construction, Sports, and Industrial (CSI)
for Iron Oak Energy Solutions is responsible for leading and growing a dedicated sales organization. This role provides strategic leadership for both new customer acquisition and existing account management, ensuring consistent revenue growth, strong customer relationships, and alignment with operational capabilities.
The Director of Sales will establish sales objectives, guide execution, and actively participate in key customer engagements. This position will collaborate closely with operations, logistics, and commercial leadership to align product availability, pricing strategy, and service execution. In addition, the role will help identify new product opportunities, market expansions, and value-added applications for Iron Oak’s sand products within CSI markets.
This position reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and plays a key role in shaping the long-term growth strategy of the CSI division.
The CSI division within Iron Oak Energy Solutions is a growing segment of the business, offering significant opportunity to expand market presence, develop new product lines, and scale the sales organization alongside company growth.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on CSI markets
- Establish sales goals, performance metrics, and accountability for new business development and account retention
- Drive customer acquisition and manage key strategic accounts, including direct engagement with major customers
- Develop and execute sales strategies for sand products used in construction, sports surfaces, and industrial applications
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure production capacity, logistics, and delivery align with customer demand
- Identify and evaluate new product opportunities, alternative applications, and market segments for mined sand products
- Support pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and long-term supply agreements
- Analyze market trends, customer demand, and competitive activity to guide commercial decisions
- Participate in annual planning, sales forecasting, and budgeting for the CSI division
- Provide regular reporting and insights to executive leadership on sales performance, market conditions, and growth opportunities
- Represent Iron Oak Energy Solutions at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field
- Background in industrial products, construction materials, aggregates, mining, or oil & gas-related products
- Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and contract-based selling
- Ability to travel domestically (approximately 5 days per month)
- Proven experience in sales and marketing within industrial, construction, or energy-related industries
- Experience preparing, managing, and executing budgets
- Demonstrated success supervising and leading a team of sales professionals
- Experience working cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and executive leadership
- Experience selling sand, aggregates, frac sand, or bulk industrial materials
- Familiarity with oil & gas supply chains and customer requirements
- Experience scaling or growing a business line or sales organization
