As a Ramp Hand, you will be reporting directly to the Facility Operator. You will be the front line of the company and be responsible for the safety of the drivers on the ramp. You will learn the Hydrovac unloading procedures and make sure they are being adhered to by Hydrovac drivers. You will also be responsible for ensuring the dump tank never overflows. You will be required to learn plant operations and assist the Facility Operators with day to day tasks.
Some of these tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Showing up for shift on time/fit for duty.
- Backing up hydrovac trucks safely.
- Supervising Hydrovac drivers during dumping procedure.
- Washing out hydrovacs using high pressure wash hoses.
- Notifying facility operator of any plant deficiencies. Specifically, hopper screens, hydraulic hoses, etc.
- Spraying down rock safely and efficiently to meet AEP approvals
- General maintenance
- Good house-keeping standards around the facility
- Identifying potential problems and hazards
- Making sure all tools are clean and put away properly
- Ensuring all shacks and equipment are clean
- Participating in Daily safety meetings,FLHA's, Hazard Assessments,etc
