Seeking a Project Manager with a minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental consulting to lead and coordinate stormwater development and implementation in alignment with biological and/or areas of environmental concerns and limitations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Develop sometimes complex technical and cost proposals, project budgets, and schedules.
· Provide technical expertise to clients, staff scientists and project leads.
· Monitor performance of work for contract compliance.
· Interpret and apply state and federal regulatory statutes regarding principles and practices of storm water management design, construction, erosion and sedimentation control practices.
· Draft and manage SWMPs, and reclamation plans.
· Provide oversight and training of staff environmental scientists on specific projects.
· Provide regular, prompt and professional communication to clients and staff;
· Conduct and represent HRL at meetings with clients and/or regulatory agencies.
· Input, manage, and utilize inspection and other data and communications using database and Geographic Information System (GIS).
· Market and cross-sell additional services to clients as needs are identified.
· Adhere to and support HRL policies and programs; state and federal laws.
· Promote a positive and considerate work environment where quality of work and client service is paramount.
· Knowledge and ability to implement and interpret applicable local, state, and oil and gas regulations.
· A solid understanding of the principles and practices of Storm Water management design, construction, erosion and sedimentation control practices as well as all applicable local, state, and federal government regulations.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong writing skills.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deliverables.
· Sound documentation, recordkeeping, and problem solving skills.
· Strong initiative and the ability to work independently in a team oriented environment.
· Ability to travel to remote sites in extreme weather utilizing a company vehicle.
· Position can require long hours and periods of extended walking, hiking, and standing in uneven, rocky terrain. Exposure to wind, rain, snow and other elements as well as long periods of travel.
· Occasional lifting, shoveling, as well as utilizing a sledgehammer.
· B.S. in Biology, Environmental Science or related discipline with 3+ years’ experience as environmental consultant.
· Ability to pass pre-employment, random, and post-accident drug screening as applicable;
