Guzman Energy is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Commercial Operations who will partner with our Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to drive critical business expansion initiatives and drive processes to support growth and revenue. Guzman’s CCO manages the company’s customer origination, supply procurement, and external affairs departments. This role serves as an operational leader, transforming high-level vision into executable business plans by seamlessly coordinating across all organizational functions.
Base Compensation:
base salary ranging from $215,000 - $250,000 per year and an annual targeted performance bonus.
o Facilitate decision-making by synthesizing complex information from multiple departments into actionable insights
o Coordinate effective communications across a geographically-distributed team with frequent travel, ensuring information flows across CCO’s direct report functions, other company departments, and external stakeholders
o Design and implement systems to track initiative progress and measure success
o Lead special projects and tackle emerging challenges as they arise
o Partner with the CCO to translate strategic vision into actionable business plans and that leverage the Guzman Platform
o Lead and execute expansion initiatives across multiple markets, including:
- Data Centers
: manage ongoing initiatives to capture emerging opportunities in the data center energy market

Energy Management Services: design and implement energy management service offerings to expand Guzman Energy’s value proposition

Geographical Expansion: analyze and support expansion into new target markets

Core Market Growth: develop and execute plans to increase customer base in Colorado, New Mexico, Montana, and Wyoming and other targeted states

Supply Procurement: project manage and support execution and coordination for supply procurement of thermal (natural gas), wind, solar, BESS and emerging technologies
o Continuously update and optimize business plans based on market feedback and learnings
o Monitor progress against strategic objectives and recommend course corrections as needed
: Ability to connect market opportunities with organizational capabilities and develop winning strategies

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence at all levels
Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate complex initiatives, and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, identify solutions, and drive resolution independently and exercise judgment to triage and raise surface issues for executive direction when necessary
Natural team player who builds bridges across functions and advances initiatives regardless of task complexity and without direct reporting lines
Genuine desire to understand the energy industry deeply and continuously expand knowledge
