Technical Cutting Solutions (TCS) , a premier provider of water jet cutting services in the heart of South Edmonton is presently recruiting for a Technical Inside Sales and Estimating Professional to join our team.
In this position, reporting to the Production Manager, the Technical Inside Sales and Estimator will play a lead role in managing incoming customer inquiries, processing incoming orders, and effectively communicating with customers and the production shop personnel to ensure the timely completion of each project.
In return for your hard work, we offer a starting wage of $ 28 to $30 per hour, along with a comprehensive company benefit package. Starting wage will be dependent on your prior work experience and qualifications. This is a day shift position working Monday through Friday from 730 AM to 4 PM with the capability of being able to work overtime when needed. As an important part of being part of a small team, additional tasks will be assigned as needed as well as being responsible for day-to-day office administration duties.
Testing for competency with computer based browser based applications and Microsoft excel may be conducted as part of the recruitment process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
•Actively manage incoming customer inquiries, identify customer needs, and provide accurate and timely information.
•Reviewing customer Request For Quotations, (RFQ) engineering drawings, DXF files, and technical content.
•Accurately estimate materials and labor requirements to meet customer’s scope of work.
•Processing incoming orders, coordinate with the production manager for new orders, while effectively managing current work orders and progress.
•Establishing and maintaining positive and professional customer relationships.
•Handling the office administration duties including but not limited to Phone and walk-in reception/ Office administrative support/Operation of point-of-sale system to take payments
KEY QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
•High school diploma or equivalent; additional warehouse or logistics training is a plus.
•A Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a custom manufacturing environment.
•The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, tender documents and navigate basic internal company internal computer programs.
•The ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
•Demonstrated above average skillsets with computer skills and technology.
•Demonstrated customer service excellence with the ability to effectively manage multiple customers.
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent computer skills with proficient skillset in all Microsoft suites including excel.
•Excellent time-management, organizational skills, and attention-to-detail.
THE WORKPLACE:
•The role is in an office environment dealing with customers either via telephone or by computer supplemented by frequent visits to the production shop as needed.
