Position Summary:
We are looking for a Procurement and Supply Chain Manager who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to lead our procurement operations for solar and battery storage projects. This is a pivotal role that goes beyond purchasing — it's about building smart, scalable systems that support our growth, optimize inventory, and ensure seamless project delivery.
You’ll be responsible for the full procurement lifecycle — from vendor and contract management to inventory planning and supplier performance — all while mentoring and developing our Purchasing Coordinator. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality, sustainable energy solutions on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
•Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
•Collaborate closely with executive leadership to align supply chain operations with business objectives.
•Lead d and provide guidance, performance feedback and professional development to the purchasing coordinator.
Vendor & Contract Management:
•Oversee vendor selection, negotiation and performance evaluation.
•Establish long-term supplier relationships and strategic sourcing initiatives.
•Identify and communicate issues arising from the supply of materials with both vendor and warehouse teams
Process Optimization:
•Develop and enforce procurement policies and procedures.
•Identify and implement process improvements and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Forecasting & Inventory Oversight
•Lead demand planning and forecasting efforts.
•Ensure optimal inventory levels and manage replenishment strategies.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
•Act as a key liaison between procurement, accounting, sales, engineering, warehouse and executive team.
•Initiate and participate in strategic planning meetings.
Reporting & Analytics:
•Provide regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and inventory health.
•Use data analytics to drive decision making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
•Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
•Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferable in the solar or electrical and building distribution industry.
•Proficiency in Dynamics 365 Business Central and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Strong and effective communication, organizational and negotiation skills.
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
•Supply Chain Management Professional Designation or Certified Supply Chain Management professional is an asset
•Native or bilingual English language proficiency
•Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is highly desirable
