Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking a Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation.
Foran Mining is a modern mining development and exploration company advancing Canada's only greenfield copper project currently under construction: the McIlvenna Bay deposit in Saskatchewan. As part of the Maintenance Team, this position will be responsible for optimizing the maintenance and operational efficiency of our fixed plant equipment. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive maintenance plans and strategies to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our fixed plant assets. Your expertise will contribute to minimizing downtime, increasing productivity, and maximizing the lifespan of our equipment
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to understand equipment requirements and develop detailed maintenance plans.
- Evaluate equipment history and performance data to identify maintenance priorities and optimize maintenance strategies.
- Generate work orders and job plans for routine maintenance, overhauls, and shutdowns.
- Coordinate with various departments to align maintenance activities with production schedules and operational priorities.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of fixed plant equipment, including specifications, maintenance history, and critical spare parts inventory.
- Monitor equipment health through condition monitoring systems and inspections, recommending proactive maintenance measures.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with safety officers to develop and implement safety procedures and risk assessments for maintenance tasks.
- Analyze maintenance performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports and KPIs related to equipment uptime, maintenance costs, and schedule adherence.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, reduce costs, and improve equipment reliability.
- Contribute to the development of long-term equipment replacement and improvement plans.
- The ideal applicant will possess relevant experience or education such as Red Seal Technician or Engineer/Technologist
- 3+ years related experience in a mining, mineral processing environment- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and scheduling software (e.g., SAP, Pronto, Microsoft Excel & Project).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in mining maintenance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and physically demanding environment.
- Experience with asset management software.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles.
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
