We are seeking a hands-on Facility Manager to oversee all facility, equipment, vendor, and
maintenance operations within our manufacturing environment. This role ensures our factory floor is
organized, safe, and fully operational while supporting efficient production.
- Manage tool crib organization, storage, and check-in/check-out processes.
- Coordinate tool and equipment maintenance, including vendor scheduling.
- Serve as liaison with HVAC, electrical contractors, and the facility/landlord for scheduled
- maintenance.
- Oversee spares inventory: track, replenish, and collaborate with Manufacturing on required
- spare parts lists.
- Manage consumable and PPE inventory, including automated reorder triggers and system
- workflows.
- Monitor camera systems to support equipment oversight and automated reorder processes.
- Maintain facility standards—lighting, sanitation, restrooms, kitchens, safety paths, and general condition.
- Experience in facility management or plant operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial equipment and maintenance workflows.
- Excellent vendor management and communication skills, including strong Indianapolis, Indiana–specific vendor and supplier knowledge.
- Highly organized, process-driven, and comfortable implementing automated systems.
- Working knowledge of safety standards, PPE, and life-safety systems.
- Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and industrial equipment service practices.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Experience with computer management systems.
- Periods of working on feet and using tools while evaluating manufacturing equipment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and lab equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required for safety for prolonged periods.
