The Farmers Reservoir and Irrigation Company (FRICO) is a mutual ditch company that was incorporated in 1902. FRICO's business office is in Brighton, Colorado. The FRICO system consists of four major and several smaller reservoirs and approximately 400 miles of canals extending from the Front Range foothills to east of Greeley, Colorado.
Coordinates and manages all GIS infrastructure within the Farmers Reservoir & Irrigation Company (FRICO). Lead all back-end development of Project Coordinator workflow and works as the OnBase document management software administrator. Assist with maintaining all field supervisor control and data acquisition (SCADA) sites, recording reservoir inflows/outflows and canal data. Reports directly to the Head of Field Operations.
a. Develop and maintain ESRI GIS mapping platform.
b. Manage web development utilizing AGOL, ArcGIS Enterprise, and Field Maps.
c. Using ArcGIS Pro version 11.x, engage in geoprocessing, spatial analysis, aerial imagery us, data management/distribution, geodatabase design, and map production.
d. Research and input FRICO’s property ownership by evaluating property deeds, County Assessor’s data, and various FRICO legal documents.
e. Verify legal descriptions by plotting and site visits.
g. Periodically updates underground infrastructure to Colorado 811.
h. Maintain Verizon Connect GPS trackers on all vehicles and equipment.
i. Support all GIS software related issues, updates, and configurations.
a. Maintain and keep current on personal FAA Part 107 Drone License, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
b. Record and edit videos of canal maintenance and field operations.
c. Create and analyze digital elevation models (DEMs) derived from drone imagery, using ArcGIS Site Scan.
a. Maintain all SCADA sensors, controls, and Campbell Scientific data logging devices.
b. Support field staff in ensuring accuracy of system and correcting errors.
c. Install, upgrade, program, and repair hardware in the field as needed.
d. Keep appraised of new SCADA technology and help implement any needed improvements to the system.
e. Assist with daily water reporting from the SCADA system.
a. Manage back-end development of Hyland OnBase document management software.
b. Train staff on document retrieval and system organization.
c. Edit end user interfaces and develop workflows for Project Coordinator.
d. Lead on indexing protocols and gives insight into best practices for digital document retrieval/storage.
1. Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or Information Technology from an accredited University.
2. 4 years of applicable experience directly related to GIS administration and analysis.
3. 2 years of experience managing software users, privileges, and back-end administration.
4. Experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise development, deployment and support.
5. Experience with ESRI’s suite of mobile, browser, and desktop applications.
7. Experience administering an ArcGIS Online organization account.
8. Experience creating and configuring Web App Builder web maps.
9. Ability to work with multiple data sources with different coordinate systems to create an accurate map.
11. Ability to collaborate in a team environment and communicate effectively with company management, internal and external stakeholders, with various levels of GIS understanding.
12. Strong understanding of Microsoft suite of software products, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
13. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to solve complex problems, provide accurate error-free work, while meeting deadlines.
14. Be the GIS and document management Subject Matter Expert (SME).
2. Experience with water rights and water accounting within the State of Colorado.
4. Experience programming and working with Campbell Scientific datalogger technology.
5. Experience managing all aspects of a GIS/IT system including hardware/software upgrades, enhancements, and training as a one-person operation.
6. Experience with high accuracy Trimble GPS and field data collection workflows.
