A fast-growing real estate development group is seeking an accomplished Senior Development Manager
to lead a portfolio of multi-family and mixed-use projects from acquisition through completion. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape strategy, oversee consultant and municipal processes, and guide projects that meaningfully contribute to housing and community development.

- Lead multiple development projects from due diligence and feasibility through design, approvals, construction, and occupancy.
- Shape project vision, development strategies, and business cases to optimize value and outcomes.
- Provide senior oversight on acquisitions, pro formas, and project positioning.
- Direct multidisciplinary consultant teams—including architects, engineers, planners, and cost consultants—to deliver coordinated, high-quality outcomes.
- Mentor and support junior development staff, fostering growth and consistency across the team.
- Approve and manage comprehensive budgets, pro formas, cash flows, and scheduling.
- Drive financial performance through value-engineering, risk assessments, and timely decision-making.
- Lead senior-level reporting to lenders, investors, and internal leadership.
- Own the approvals strategy across rezoning, DP, BP, subdivision, and other permitting stages.
- Serve as the primary senior liaison with municipal staff, community stakeholders, and external partners.
- Represent the project in key meetings, presentations, and public processes.
- Collaborate closely with construction teams on RFIs, change orders, design clarifications, and coordination issues.
- Resolve escalated design or technical challenges to maintain project timelines and quality.
- Anticipate project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance across all development activities.
- Oversee consultant contract negotiation and administration (CCDC/standard forms).- 7–12+ years
of experience in real estate development, ideally in multi-family residential or mixed-use projects.
- Strong command of planning processes, municipal approvals, construction practices, and development lifecycle management.
- Proven success leading consultant teams and navigating complex project environments.
- Advanced financial modeling and budgeting skills (Excel proficiency required).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to lead multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
- Post-secondary education in real estate, planning, engineering, architecture, or related fields (graduate studies an asset).
