The QA Software tester plays an integral role in ensuring software is free of bugs and meets functional requirements. This individual will be responsible for creating test plans and scripts, executing manual and automated tests, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with software development and engineering teams to resolve issues for software releases. This is a dynamic role with exposure to key stakeholders across the organization. Specific responsibilities will include:
Design and develop test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures based on project requirements.
Execute tests using manual or automated methods to identify defects, inconsistencies, or performance issues. Execution of various tests including functional, regression, integration, performance, and stability testing.
Document and report any bugs or problems found, using a bug tracking system.
Work closely with the QA, Software Development, and Engineering team members to discuss issues and ensure resolution in a timely manner.
Provide feedback on software usability and functionality to developers and stakeholders. Create and maintain detailed test reports.
: Lead and/or participate in customer acceptance testing (FAT/SAT/UAT) activities for Customer Software Deployments.
Maintain documentation of test procedures and a database of known defects.
Participate in design reviews and help to establish quality standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field
• Onsite position based in Pasadena, California (remote candidates will not be considered)
• Broad knowledge of software development practices and programming languages
