Position Overview:
We are seeking a local, Safety-focused Transload Operator, Transload Operator to join our team in Prince George. The Transload Operator is responsible for the safe operation of transloading equipment to transfer lime & salt materials. The Transload Operator will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for monitoring equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation, performing routine inspections and maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment as needed and demonstrate a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Role and Responsibilities
•Develop thorough understanding of equipment being operated;
•Operate the equipment within the manufacturer’s recommendations;
•Perform daily plant housekeeping;
•Clean material buildups around plant by shoveling and/or skid steer;
•Perform daily maintenance of small equipment (e.g. Skid steer, heaters, generators, etc.);
•Monitor transloading equipment and notify the maintenance department of any equipment malfunction;
•Ensure safety guarding, fencing, safeties are in place on transloading equipment;
•Shipping and receiving duties. Unload trucks, organize parts, and receive parts deliveries;
•Actively participate in Kode’s safety program and that of Kode clients (comply with online safety program & lock out / tag out procedures, attend & participate in daily toolbox meetings, perform daily FLHA, wear appropriate PPE.
Experience & Technical Competency
•Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
•Previous experience working on a crushing crew an asset;
•Will need to be clean shaven for fit test requirements;
•Proven safety record with a clear understanding of OH&S requirements;
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
•Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, experience working as part of a collaborative team;
•Demonstrated ability to foster a positive work environment that aligns with the company's values and goals;
•A great attitude and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and serve our customers;
Working Conditions
•Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; wind, snow, rain, heat and cold.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
