We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Contractor
to implement the HART protocol with Device Description (DD)
for one of our existing devices. The work involves integrating a HART communication stack into our hardware, and embedded firmware and developing the corresponding DD in compliance with FieldComm Group specifications
The solution must be certifiable through the FieldComm Group and interoperable with standard host tools (handheld communicators, AMS, FieldCare, PACTware, etc.).
- Integrate HART protocol stack into existing embedded firmware.
- Implement required HART command sets (Universal, Common Practice, and device specific as needed).
- Develop the device’s
Device Description (DD)
using EDDL.
- Validate implementation with FieldComm Group’s test tools.
- Conduct interoperability testing with standard HART host systems.
- Provide supporting documentation.
- Support certification process with FieldComm Group.
- Proven experience implementing
HART protocol
in embedded systems.
- Familiarity with
FieldComm Group requirements
and certification processes.
- Strong embedded C development background.
- Experience creating
Device Descriptions (DD/EDD)
.
- Hands-on experience with HART tools, communicators, and host systems.
- Strong debugging and integration skills.
- Experience with commercial or open-source HART stacks.
- Prior work delivering HART-enabled devices through certification.
