About This Job
Function & Responsibility
Experienced EDM Machinist needed for prototype and production work on small parts, with very close tolerances, on a variety of exotic material.
Responsibilities:
•
Setup and/or operate multiple machines
•
Machine parts to required tolerances while meeting expected completion dates
•
Develop programs to maximize machine efficiency
•
Develop, track, and optimize machining parameters for different materials
•
Develop and make any required fixturing to support the EDM area
•
Perform preventative maintenance of EDM machines as required
•
Perform other various machining/grinding functions while machines are running to support the operations of the shop
•
Measurement and inspection of tight tolerance parts using various gages, indicators, and micrometers
Desired Experience:
•
5+ years CNC Wire EDM set-up, operating, and programming experience
•
CNC EDM hole drilling/Hole Popper setup, operating, and programming experience
•
EDM fixturing experience
•
Manual machining and Grinding experience is a plus
•
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
•
Must be able to read, write, and verbally converse in the English language
•
Must have the ability to read and interpret blue prints. Experience with GDT a strong plus
