We are seeking a reliable, experienced, full-time cook/second. To join our remote logging-camp team near Mackenzie, BC. This is a camp-based position providing hearty home-style meals for hardworking crews.

About the position:

· Location: remote logging camp near Mackenzie, BC

· schedule: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off or 1 week on 1 week off

· 10-hour day

· Camp accommodation provided while on shift

· Meals included

· Start date ASAP

· Key Responsibilities

· Prepare 3 daily meals

· (breakfast, lunch, dinner) baking, soup and dessert

· Plan menus and accommodate dietary needs

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen

· Follow food safe standards and camp sanitation procedures

· Complete daily cleaning of kitchen, coolers, freezers, and dining area.

· Keep inventory, manage grocery lists and assist with ordering.

· Work independently and stay calm under pressure

· Support a positive, respectful work environment

Qualifications:

· Previous experience as a camp cook, industrial kitchen cook, or large volume

· Cook.

· Food safe level 1 required

· Ability to work in a remote camp setting and manage your own time

· Physically able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods

· Must be reliable, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.

· You need to supply your own transportation into and out of Mackenzie

· We supply your transportation into and out of the camp.
