Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in the electrical trade. The Apprentice Electrician will work under the supervision of experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in various electrical tasks and systems. This role will involve learning to use essential tools and equipment while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
•
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
•
Learn to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
•
Utilize hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters to perform electrical tasks.
•
Participate in high voltage installations under the guidance of licensed electricians.
•
Support the team in building electrical frames and structures as needed.
•
Observe safety protocols while working on job sites to ensure a safe working environment.
•
Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects, including frame carpentry tasks.
Qualifications
•
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
•
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components is a plus.
•
Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in electrical work.
•
Ability to read blueprints and technical documents is advantageous.
•
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
•
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians.
•
Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials when necessary.
•
Previous experience as an industrial electrician or in related fields is beneficial but not required.
