Industrial Machine Shop seeking a part time Inspector.

The position is responsible for inspecting machined parts, assemblies, and components to ensure they meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards. This role supports continuous improvement, product reliability, and compliance with applicable codes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect machined parts and assemblies using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators

- Review engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work orders

- Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections

- Document inspection results and maintain quality records

- Identify and report non-conformances and subsequent corrective actions

- Communicate inspection results with machinists and supervisors

- Verify material certifications and traceability

- Support audits and customer inspections

- Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained

- Follow all safety and quality procedures

- Assist in the implementation and management of an ASME Section IX welding program

- Perform PMI Testing, LP, and hardness testing

Required Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED required

- 2+ years inspection experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment

- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T

- Proficiency with inspection and measuring tools

- Strong attention to detail

- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with ASME or ISO standards

- CMM experience

- Oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or heavy industrial background

Employment contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening.

The position is part-time, with some flexibility within our standard hours (6am-2:30pm Monday- Friday.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week
