Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turning and Swiss Screw Machine Setup Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for setting up, proving out, and optimizing CNC Turning and Swiss screw machines to produce high-quality parts. The ideal candidate has hands-on machining experience, a strong understanding of G-code and tooling, and a commitment to efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

- Set up CNC milling machines including tooling, workholding, and program verification

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements

- Load CNC programs, make necessary offsets and edits to ensure quality production

- Select appropriate tooling and verify tool condition and life management

- Perform first article inspections and in-process checks to confirm conformance to specifications

- Collaborate with programmers and operators to improve processes, reduce setup time, and optimize machining strategies

- Troubleshoot setup or machining issues and ensure corrective actions are taken

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and quality standards

Experience

- 3+ years of CNC milling setup experience (Fanuc/Mitsubishi control preferred)

- Strong knowledge of G-code, feeds/speeds, and cutting tool applications

- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.)

- Familiarity with GD&T and tight tolerance machining

- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
