The City of West Point, MS announces the following vacancy:
Class B or C Water Treatment Plant Operator
Minimum requirements:
•
Class B Waterworks License or successful passing of Class C water treatment test and working on experience under certified water treatment and or distribution system to achieve eventual Class B certification
•
Must possess valid Mississippi Driver’s License
Minimum Qualifications:
•
High school diploma or equivalent
•
4 years of experience working in water distribution and/or water treatment for Class B position.
•
Possess physical ability to perform activities required for daily operations and maintenance of the water treatment plant and water distribution system
•
must have ability to read, understand and follow oral and/or written instructions
•
A working knowledge of CPR and first aid is helpful
•
Requires employee availability for regular shift work as well as required during holidays and weekends
•
Successful candidate must complete a pre-employment physical & drug screen
