Blending Operator
located in
Leduc, AB

The Blending Operator will be primarily responsible for carrying out the assigned plant production schedules in order to meet internal and external customer requirements. What You Will Do
•Progress through the Operator Progression Program within the warehouse, yard and blend floor
•Ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials
•Assist with physical inventory counts and processes
•Prepare and perform chemical transfers to and from storage tanks, trucks and railcars
•Safely and reliably blend quality finished products and package bulk, drum and IBC products
•Enter production tickets, goods receipts, and shipping documentation in a timely manner
•Inspect and clean the work area daily
•Perform required routine operator maintenance
•Comply with all applicable ISO procedures
Position Details
•Candidate must reside in Leduc, AB or the surrounding area.
•Immigration Sponsorship is not available for this role.
•This role requires individual to be clean shaven to comply with customer site policy and safety requirement
Minimum Qualifications
•Ability to work occasional overtime as requested
Physical Demands
•This role is a safety-sensitive position and the successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment testing in accordance with ChampionX’s policy
•Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50lbs
•The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid and dry/arid conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
•Dedicated to safety and quality
•Rail yard experience, including unloading chemical cars
•Previous experience with ChampionX as a Blending Operator preferred
•Chemical manufacturing experience or equivalent industry experience
•SAP knowledge and experience
•Demonstrates initiative for self-improvement and assuming additional responsibilities
•Knowledge of automated control systems
•Responsible and flexible team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude
•Intermediate level computer skills
•Registered ABSA 5th class Power Engineer considered an asset
