We are seeking motivated Mechanical Engineer Interns to join our team.
This position offers hands-on experience in process improvement, production optimization, and quality assurance. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a career in engineering to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges.
Students must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree studying Mechanical, Process, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
Students will be assigned a mentor who will provide on the job training with feedback during their time at CAPT.
- Assist in developing and improving manufacturing processes, quality and new model activities related to the department of placement (Casting or Machining dept.)
- Support production teams with troubleshooting and efficient projects
- Problem analysis
- Collaborate with Engineers and technicians on continuous improvement projects
- Assist with presentations to management on findings
- Rotation consists of 5 weeks in Casting, 5 weeks in Machining Dept.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and have your own transportation to and from work
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree studying Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
- Sophomore in College (by credit hour) or above
- Minimum 2.5 GPA (transcripts will need to be provided)
- Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 20hrs/wk. for Semester, Minimum 40hrs/wk. for Summer Internship
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with CAD software and basic Manufacturing principles

Competitive hourly wage – $26.50/hr. – first 10 weeks
