Builders Fence Company is hiring a Customer Service Representative at our El Cajon branch. We’re a $60M+ fencing distributor and manufacturer, and we’re growing.
Summary
Do you like solving problems before they become problems? Can you handle a fast-paced environment where phones ring, trucks roll, and contractors demand answers yesterday? Good. We might have a job for you.
This is a frontline role—part detective, part dispatcher, part therapist (for our customers, not you—hopefully).
Responsibilities
•You’ll take orders, track down materials, coordinate with dispatch, and keep our client's contractors, installers, and project managers—coming back.
•You’ll also be expected to catch mistakes before they happen and hold your own in a team of strong personalities.
•Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email.
•Assist customers with product information, order status, and issue resolution.
•Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date customer records.
•Support outbound calling initiatives to follow up on leads and customer satisfaction.
•Collaborate with sales teams to ensure customer needs are met effectively.
•Analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in service delivery.
Requirements
•Proven experience in customer support or call center environment is preferred.
•Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Ability to analyze information and provide solutions effectively.
•Sales experience is a plus but not required.
•Can type fast, talk faster, and stay organized, know the difference between 2-3/8” pipe and 1-5/8” pipe (or are ready to learn)
•Don’t flinch when someone calls in yelling—we train you how to de-escalate like a boss

Location: El Cajon CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Roughly)
