Role Summary
Assist Rig Management team on all operational matters in line with the management system, policies, procedures and standards, to achieve a safe and efficient offshore operation. Provide technical and techno-economic support to the Operations Department in tender reviews and preparation, in particular with the technical analysis of the tender requirements. Provide cover for Rig Managers in the region as necessary.
Responsibilities
•Work with Rig Management in ensuring continuous safe and efficient operation of the regional rig fleet.
•Provide holiday/field break cover for Rig Managers across the region as necessary.
•Work with the operations team to analyse operational and HSE performance, thereafter, making recommendations on improvements to working practices, procedures and policies to deliver continual optimisation of performance.
•Support and promote the Company’s behavioural safety processes and maintain Company standards.
•Assist with the recruitment and selection of offshore personnel.
•Participate in the preparation of annual rig budgets for region with a specific focus on MAJEX, CAPEX and LTM projects.
•Assist Rig Managers with complex or high value projects such as SPS.
•Plan, organize and be accountable for tender submissions in the region (primarily the technical proposal complying with the customer template prescribed in the tender) to Customers.
•Conduct technical gap analysis for rig equipment and contract specifications and lead sourcing of cost estimates for compliance with tender requirements.
•Build high level project plans in MS Project for submission with the tender for rig mobilisation and upgrade timelines.
•Prepare cost models based on mobilisation plans, technical gap analysis of the rig and operational requirements.
•Review ITT and specifically highlight cost impact with regards to Responsibility Matrix.
•Ensure that technical content of tender submissions is accurate and factual.
•Comply with all the Company and clients’ policies and procedures including adherence to all workplace health and safety requirements.
•Assist the VP of Operations with ad hoc projects in support of operations in the region.
Qualifications and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree or higher from a technical college or university
•Valid Opito approved BOSIET/Offshore Survival Certificate
•IWCF Well Control Certification
•Experience in a relevant role with exposure to Rig Management.
•High level of communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to respond to internal and external clients at all levels of operations.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft.
