This is a full-time hybrid role for an IT Specialist (Network/SDN), located in Portland, OR.
The IT Specialist will
serve as a subject matter expert on the Cisco Systems Software-Defined Networking (SDN) Architecture/Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)
.
- Provide expert technical advice, guidance and recommendations to management and other technical specialist on Network Management, Security, and Reliability.
- Develop and interpret standards, policies, procedures, solutions, and strategies in complex technical environments to deliver IT services throughout the agency.
- While following policies, standards, and processes; make decisions that involve major uncertainties regarding the most effective approach or methodology for the delivery of services in a continually changing business and technological environment.
- Oversee support of installed systems and services and resolve a wide range of technical issues.
- Ensure IT services are integrated and interoperable.
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.

Focus is on broad organizational/professional issues; You have consistently provided practical/relevant ideas and perspectives on process or practice improvements which may easily be implemented; You are capable of coaching others in the application of each of these competencies by translating complex nuances relating to each competency into easy to understand terms; You participate in senior level discussions regarding these competencies; You assist in the development of reference and resource materials in these competencies..
