We are seeking the right individual to fill the need for a Counter Sales Associate in our Elgin location. If you have experience working with HVAC materials in a warehouse environment, coupled with a commitment to great customer service, a proven sales record, and desiring a career path this is the position for you! This position requires a commitment to the acquiring knowledge on all products in the branch and be able to apply those products to the needs of our customers. This position is responsible for the management of customer orders from receipt of order to shipment of product. As the Counter Sales Associate, you will report to the Store Manager.

As a Counter Sales Associate, you will:

Provide ongoing customer support via phone, fax, e-mail, and the Counter Environment to assist new and existing customers with their requests in a timely manner

- Manage customer orders via the Order Entry System to ensure efficient delivery of products

- Work closely with other vital departments such as sales, field staff, credit, billing, shipping, purchasing, technical service, and marketing to deliver premier customer service

- Receive, count, visually inspect and verify parts numbers on supplies, materials, and equipment

- Prepare packages or cartons including placing proper postage for shipping purposes

- Load and unload trucks and carriers manually and/or with lift trucks

- Take on other duties as needed

A successful Counter Sales Associate will possess the following:

- HVAC knowledge (previous field experience preferred but not required)

- 1-2 years of counter experience in wholesale distribution a plus or a college degree.

- Proven sales record

- Great customer service and communication skills

- Desire for a career path

- Retail experience is a plus

- Bilingual Spanish speaking a plus
