An overview of your future role at BBA
As a designer, you’ll be involved in delivering engineering projects, selecting technology and helping execute projects in the hydroelectric power, mining and heavy industry sectors. You’ll be based at our Mont-Saint-Hilaire or Québec City office. You’ll play a key role in all phases of engineering projects, ensuring exceptional technical quality of deliverables.

•Work with point clouds (3D scanning)
•Select equipment for hydroelectric, mining and industrial applications
•Create layout drawings of mechanical equipment and systems
•Perform onsite technical information surveys
•Perform detailed calculations
•Assist more experienced personnel with the technical aspects of complex tasks
•Prepare plans and specifications based on guidelines

Overview of job requirements
•College diploma in mechanical engineering technology
•Up to five years of experience
•Experience with 3D design
•Available to travel occasionally between the Mont-Saint-Hilaire and Montréal offices
•Available for short assignments at client sites
•Asset: experience in the heavy industry sector (mining, petrochemicals, energy, etc.)
•Asset: bilingual (English and French)
•Asset: familiar with SolidWorks, Revit, SmartPlant 3D, CADWorx, Ansys and AutoCAD applications
•Asset: knowledge of welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, welded assemblies and structural design
•Asset: multidisciplinary knowledge (electricity and automation)
