Silviculture Surveyor
Avison Management Services Ltd. is a well established Environmental and Forestry Consulting Company
with operations across British Columbia. We are currently seeking a Silviculture Surveyor to join our team
for the 2025 fall season in the Vanderhoof Office. This position will include mainly field-based
work. This position is currently a seasonal position, however, based on workloads, the position may be
extended, or have the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualifications:
- Experience or interest in working outdoors in all weather conditions and terrain types.
- Experience working with ATVs.
- Class 5 drivers license.
- Certified as a Silviculture Surveyor in the Province of BC would be an asset.
- Enrolled in or completion of a college-based forestry/resource management program is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with computers and tablets/iPads for data collection.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accurate data collection of biophysical measurements in a forestry setting.
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to, stocking surveys, brushing layout, free-to-grow surveys.
- Positive attitude and dedicated to working in a safe workplace.
- The ability to work and stay in remote camp settings during the field season.
- The flexibility to work within many disciplines.
Avison Management offers an attractive wage range between $24-$28 per hr, dependant on experience, as well as an attractive benefits package, and a Monday to Friday workweek.
