Atlas Pressed Metals, Manufacturing Supervisor (2nd Shift)
Atlas Pressed Metals is a family owned, manufacturer of powder metal components located in DuBois, PA. We are seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will work alongside the production manager to coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of second shift (M-F, 3:45pm to 12:15am).

Responsibilities:
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for executing the manufacturing plan in the department assigned. They are the face of manufacturing and who the employees go to. They work closely with production manager and customer service as well as the quality department on day-to -day matters ensuring employees have what is needed to effectively execute the production plan. The Manufacturing Supervisor must be able to effectively communicate, both up and down the chain of command. They play a key role in implementing change, communicating plant news and changes to the schedule. The Manufacturing Supervisor reports to the Production Manager.
Essential Duties:
•Communicate effectively with employees.
•Conduct shift meetings at changeover.
•Maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with performance or conduct issue.
•Ensure the production floor operates with a Safety/Quality first methodology.
•Trains employees in their charge, in all aspects pertaining to department.
•Is able to work in the business system to help stay ahead of changing schedules, ensuring customer on time delivery is a priority.
•Ensures leadership team is notified on all matters that could negatively affect production.
•Reacts promptly to employee matters.
•Participates in Daily Manufacturing and Material review board meetings as applicable.
•Acts as a change agent, removing manufacturing road blocks to ensure employee/productivity success.
•Interacts with other supervisors/ Lead offs.
•Places labor for shift assigned.
•Is able to “Pitch” in and fill gaps in man power when needed. Is able to operate in assigned department.
•Review production plan for possible gaps in production. Ensure run rates are achieved.
•Provides feedback to employees and human resources concerning employee performance.
•Works with quality team to ensure correct decisions on product disposition is made.
•Is able to work both traditional and non-traditional manufacturing shifts.
•Assists production personnel with production related issues as needed.
•Verify machine rates to ensure run rates are met and looks to continuously improve them.
•Participates in yearly plant wide Inventory.
•Participates in layered audit program.
•Takes on other tasks as directed by management.
