About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Battery Scientist to join our research and development team in Hong Kong. This role will focus on the fabrication, testing, and optimization of lithium-ion battery pouch cells. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cell making processes and strong analytical skills to interpret experimental results.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and test lithium-ion battery pouch cells
- Optimize processes to improve performance and consistency
- Conduct electrochemical and physical characterization of cells and materials
- Analyze experimental data and prepare reports
- Work independently and collaborate with the team to solve technical challenges
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
- Hands-on experience with lithium-ion battery fabrication (slurry preparation, coating, calendaring, electrode cutting, stacking, electrolyte filling, formation cycling, etc.)
- Familiar with common testing and characterization instruments (electrochemical workstations, cell cyclers, XRD, SEM, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
- Experience in process optimization or scale-up is a plus
