We have a full-time position opening for an Electronics Hardware Engineer in our Calgary office.
- Have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field - Have 5+ Years experience in electronics circuits design and PCB layout in North America
- Have advanced proficiency in Altium Designer (Schematics, PCB Layout, Libraries, Outputs)
- Have proven experience with MWD downhole tool or high-temperature environment equipment design.
- Have Experience in firmware coding and debugging with IDE tools
- Altium schematic capture and PCB layout skills are essential
- Familiarity with MWD downhole and surface sensors/systems is ideal
- Must have a high level of self-drive and initiative, proactive learner, strong work ethic, goal-focused, and attentive to detail.
- Must have solid Soldering and rework skills
The successful candidate will carry out various tasks related to MWD Systems research, design, and testing in a fast moving collaborative team environment. The responsibilities of this role include:
- Design / update downhole and surface PCB /circuits layout
- Generate Manufacturing Packages (Gerber, BOM’s, Assembly Drawings/Schematics)
- Testing, debug and troubleshooting assembled PCB's & Prototypes
- Working with Firmware Engineers for firmware debug and troubleshooting
- PCB and system assembly as needed
- Provide Manufacturing support as needed
- Authoring of internal (Technical) and external documentation as directed
- Support of Field Trial Prototype testing
