Overview:
We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic employee to join our team and function in a dual role Monday - Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. This position will start in our production area for an average of 4-6 hours per day, then work in our office in the afternoon until 4:00 p.m. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude. You will play a key part in supporting daily office & production operations, assisting customers and staff, and ensuring smooth administrative processes. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively with a team. As a member of our staff, you must be comfortable working with computers including Microsoft Office, completing accurate data entry, have accurate math skills, be able to stand for extended periods of time, being comfortable with machine operation, physical labor, and other duties as assigned.
Hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
- Manage daily office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, and providing in-person customer service
- Process billing, purchase orders, and maintain accurate records
- Maintain contact lists and organize physical filing systems
- Assist with weekly, monthly, and annual reporting
- Support over the counter (OTC) sales, including dry ice packaging and CO₂ cylinder refills
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries
- Monitor office and production inventory levels
- Provide administrative support to the VP of Administration and CEO
- Produce, package, and load dry ice daily in accordance with quality standards· Proficient data entry using a Windows based software program.
- Regularly use common math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills.
- Understand and comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures
- Follow Food Safety and HACCP programs (on the job training is provided)
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete tasks
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Organize and maintain accurate inventory levels
- Load and unload shipments as needed
- Assist with general production duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Associate degree or higher (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and data entry
- Familiarity with Windows OS (preferred)
- Experience with accounting software (NetSuite or QuickBooks preferred)
- Basic arithmetic and ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Comfortable interpreting instructions and writing reports or emails
- Capable of interacting professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., and stand for extended periods of time is required
- Current driver’s license in good standing is preferred
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools is a plus
- Familiarity with operating a forklift is a plus
