Job Summary
We're hiring a CDL driver to operate a set list of weekly commercial garbage routes. Routes consist of 60-100 unique stops / day. Upon being hired, the candidate is given a 2-4 week paid training period where they learn the route with the help of a driver trainer.
Responsibilities
•
Ensure that all stops are collected on your given routes; the ideal candidate should have an ability to follow a route and use directions or maps if needed with little to no supervision.
•
Operating the truck in a safe and efficient manner... being wary of surroundings including cars, overhead wires, fences / walls, curbs, pedestrians, etc
•
Physical responsibilities include unlocking / opening gates, cleaning the truck when needed, and having full use of arms and legs to operate the vehicle
•
Perform vehicle checks to ensure truck is in a safe manner to operate
Qualifications
•
Valid CDL & DOT Med Card (or ability to acquire)
•
1+ year of truck driving experience
•
Reliable and friendly personality
•
Comfortable with starting at early times on a consistent basis (2-3am)
