As we continue to expand, we’re looking for motivated and reliable Sheet Metal Assemblers to join our fast-paced, safety-focused custom manufacturing facility. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive team environment where your contributions matter.
We operate both a Monday to Friday Day Shift (7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) and Evening Shift (4:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.). Please indicate your shift preference when applying.
- Interpret and read engineering drawings, sketches and work specifications to be performed, and lay out, measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings or templates
- Assemble all products
- Set up and operate spot welders
- Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting and operate MIG welders in a tacking capacity for commercial products
- Operate machines such as shears, brakes, punches, and drill presses, to cut, bend, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
- Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
- Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications
- Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment
- Support other team members as needed
- Experience in a metal fabrication manufacturing environment preferred
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Ability to operate an overhead crane and forklift (training will be provided)
- Familiarity with reading technical drawings and sketches is a strong asset
- Experience with MIG welding and mixing and applying coating systems is an asset
- Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
- Strong attention to safety
- Possess the skills and abilities to consistently produce high quality products and ensure quality control is maintained to the established standards
- Must be organized, flexible, proactive, and interact in a positive and respectful manner in a team environment
- Knowledge of industrial/commercial fans, noise control and HVAC systems is an asset
- Knowledge of Lean principles is an asset
