Utility Lighting Technician
Location: Wilmington, NC & Surrounding Areas
Job Type: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience; reviewed at 90 days)
Utility Partners of America (UPA) is a full-service utility contractor seeking safety-conscious and highly motivated individuals to join our team as Utility Lighting Technicians. Key Responsibilities:
•Perform utility lighting maintenance and installations
•Safely operate an aerial boom (bucket) truck (Required)
•Work at heights of up to 40 feet (via bucket truck, ladder, or climbing)
•Lift up to 40 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and kneeling
•Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including inclement weather
Requirements:
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Bucket truck experience (Required) – 1 year
•Electrical experience (Required) – 1 year
•Tree/Pole climbing experience (Preferred) – 1 year
•Must have a valid driver's license for 3+ years
•Must be willing to submit drug test, background check, and motor vehicle records check
Work Schedule & Conditions:
•Standard Schedule: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
•Overtime: When allowed, overtime will be mandatory
•Storm Work: 7 days a week, 12 to 16-hour shifts when necessary
•Work Location: On the road, servicing Wilmington, NC & surrounding areas
