Overview

We are seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of industrial equipment and machinery. Candidates should have a strong mechanical background and familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters.

Duties

- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on shop equipment and machinery

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools, including ohmmeters

- Repair or replace faulty components to ensure optimal operation of equipment

- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed

- Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment upgrades

- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies

- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems efficiently

Experience

- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting

- Hands-on knowledge of electrical systems, with proficiency in using ohmmeters for testing circuits and components

- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints

- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Prior experience with preventive maintenance programs is a plus

- Relevant technical certifications or training is preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
