The Drilling Supervisor represents the company on the rig site and is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient execution of well plans. Serving as the primary contact for rig and third-party personnel, this role coordinates logistics, oversees drilling and completion operations, and ensures compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate safety, security, health, and environmental expectations on site; provide guidance and manage SSHE events.
- Monitor rig operations, ensuring well control procedures are followed and emergency situations are appropriately managed.
- Ensure compliance with Operations Integrity Management Systems (OIMS).
- Conduct safety, operational, environmental, and security drills at required frequencies.
- Enforce adherence to approved drilling and completion procedures; manage changes via MOC process.
- Coordinate logistics for personnel, equipment, and services to optimize operations.
- Oversee surveillance activities such as kick detection, abnormal pressure, torque & drag, mud properties, and solids control efficiency.
- Generate accurate daily and operational reports.
- Interface with engineering and geology teams to ensure alignment on well objectives and procedures.- 10+ years of drilling experience, including time as a Drilling Supervisor/Company Man.
- Experience in supervisory or leadership roles for drilling and completion operations.
- Strong background working with major Operators or Drilling Contractors.
- Bakken experience required.
- Hands-on experience with H&P Flex 3 walker rigs strongly preferred.
- Current Well Control certification.
- Proven ability to manage rig site safety, logistics, and operations under high-performance standards.
- Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
