We have an immediate need for a Heat Treat Furnace Operator to join our team.
Position Hours: 6AM-6PM (4 days per week)
Position Details:
•
Heat treats a variety of steel parts to proper hardness
•
Responsible for quality of heat treated parts and making efficiency quotas
•
Sets temperature on one or more furnaces including austemper
•
Set speeds of furnace trays and/or belts, able to start up furnace when cold
•
Monitor atmosphere in furnace and adjust when necessary
•
Performs inspections on parts using varied measurement tools including micrometers, calipers and gauges
Qualifications:
•
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating furnaces (austemper and/or oil quench)
•
Experience in use of measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
•
Ability to measure and read blueprints
•
Must be able to see and distinguish between colors
•
Attendance is critical for this position
•
HS Diploma or equivalent
