Proactively safeguard Berkshire Hathaway Energy and national security by fostering partnerships and coalitions to anticipate and mitigate strategic threats through advanced intelligence, comprehensive risk assessments, and collaborative strategies. Working with significant independence and under general direction, the Sr. Intelligence Analyst leads situational awareness, cyber, physical and supply chain intelligence projects and programs to inform security and resilience activities.
Develop trust with and provide threat intelligence and context to key customers, including the Global Security Operations Center, vulnerability management, information technology and operational technology teams. Communicate and coordinate across teams and lead the development of relevant intelligence flows and processes, reports and briefs calibrated to risks to BHE businesses and national security. (50%)
Contribute to the development of strategic intelligence reports and briefs. (20%)
Contribute to threat modeling and analysis and resilience efforts. (15%)
Provide timely and accurate support to executives and security leadership in response to threats and hazards. (10%)
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of BHE business and operational needs to drive relevance in intelligence products. (10%)
Interest in proactively safeguarding BHE and its interests, including national security.
Bachelor's degree in Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, technology, political science, international relations, security, risk management or related field. (Typically, four years of additional related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Seven years of experience in network security monitoring and analysis, cyber threat intelligence, cyber incident response, physical security intelligence or related experience.
Knowledge of physical and cyber security principles demonstrated through achievement or pursuit of advanced degrees or certifications.
General understanding of risk management concepts and the energy sector.
General knowledge of technology terms, equipment, systems, functions, and major vendors.
Effective interpersonal and relationship skills, including effective written and verbal communication skills appropriate for business executives, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, operating with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail under time constraints.
Ability to acquire and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
