We are seeking a Project Manager with Golf Course Superintendent experience or SFMA Level 3 certification in our Colorado location to manage large-scale landscape and sports turf maintenance operations. This role oversees 103 acres of athletic fields (NCAA-level quality), 760 acres of commercial style properties, 66 acres of snow removal (including weekends), irrigation systems (including non-potable water and pump stations), both growing season (April – October) and winter season grounds maintenance (October – April). Approximately 75% of time will be in the field.
Manage daily turf and sports field maintenance to NCAA standards.
Plan and direct snow removal operations, including nights/weekends.
Oversee irrigation systems, schedules, repairs, non-potable and city water sources and pump station equipped with VFD pump system supplying 16” main line down to ¼” drip systems.
Develop annual, monthly, and daily work schedules for presentation to the client.
Perform daily quality control inspection program for the client.
Hire, supervise, train and manage employees to include: Assistant Manager, Irrigation Technicians, Pesticide Applicators, Mechanic, Equipment Operators and Laborers
Ensure safety and compliance in all areas of operation.
Track budgets for labor, Equipment maintenance and material costs for efficiency.
Serve as primary client's senior management contact with strong communication skills.
Golf Course Superintendent experience or SFMA certification required.
3–5 years in turf/landscape maintenance, with at least 2 years in management of similar size or larger project.
Strong knowledge of sports fields or golf course turf grass agronomy and cultural practices, equipment calibration, irrigation systems (design, installation, operation and maintenance)
Snow removal route planning, scheduling, staffing and operations.
Proven ability to manage all schedules required on the contract, Quality Control and staff performance.
Be able to pass a pre-employment screening test.
Eligibility to work as a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
Ability to speak, read and write in the English language with Spanish desirable.
Ability to obtain pesticide applicator licenses within 30 days in Colorado Categories: 102, 108, 109, 206 and 207.
Capable of outdoor work in all conditions, day, night weekends and holidays (if required).
Lifting up to 50 lbs where the requirement for ADA disability accommodation is not needed.
