Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment repair, with a focus on diesel engines. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally.
Duties
•
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in diesel engines and related systems
•
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel vehicles and equipment
•
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repair tasks
•
Conduct brake repairs and other necessary adjustments to ensure safety and performance
•
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed
•
Ensure compliance with safety standards while working in the shop environment
Qualifications
•
Proven experience in heavy duty truck repair, specifically with diesel engines
•
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools proficiently
•
Experience in equipment repair is preferred
•
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties
•
Familiarity with soldering techniques is a plus
•
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
•
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $34.00 - $44.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
