- Lead Oversee activities within the mine site lab and provide leadership support to Quality Control Staff.
- Ensure accurate sample collection and testing at various stages: in-pit, ROM, clean, railed, port inventories, and vessel cargos.
- Maintain and update the Total Quality Management program, including associated documentation and auditing practices.
- Work with Marketing, Logistics, Process, Environmental, Operations, Engineering, and Geology departments to ensure effective coal blending and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with permitting requirements and monitor quality parameters throughout coal handling stages.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the Quality Control team to drive performance and adherence to quality standards.
- Liaise with external sampling services and labs to organize and complete all sample collection and testing requirements, including for marketing purposes.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Mining, Geology, Chemistry, or similar).
- Minimum 5 years of coal mining experience, with a strong focus on coal quality or process control.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience leading technical teams in a mining environment.
- Strong understanding of ASTM standards, TQM principles, and coal analysis procedures.
- Familiarity with on-line analyzers and lab equipment maintenance/troubleshooting.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong communication abilities (verbal and written) across all levels of the organization.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical reporting tools.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and quality assurance.

Specifically for the Quality Control Manager role, we offer an annual base salary range of $105,000.00 - $125,000.00, along with a variety of bonuses. These bonuses include monthly efficiency bonuses linked to safety and production, quarterly retention bonuses, and a performance bonus tailored to reward your contributions.
